History
The parish of Saint-Ideuc seems to have been founded by Saint-Samson in the 6th century. It was subject to the bishopric of Dol. Saint-Ideuc derives from the name of a monk from Great Britain who lived in the 5th century, founder in Wales of a monastery from which Saint-Samson is said to have come. Various buildings were constructed, then destroyed or altered. The present church, in the form of a Latin cross, dates from 1721. In 1794, it was used for the lodging of materials and fodder for revolutionary troops. Bell tower from the 17th century.
