Historique
Construit au début du 17e siècle, l'hôtel fut acheté par la famille de Robien en 1699. Jusqu'à la Révolution se succédèrent trois présidents à mortier du Parlement de Bretagne dont le plus connu fut Christophe-Paul de Robien, archéologue, écrivain, collectionneur dont le "cabinet" servit de source aux collections de peinture du musée de Rennes. L'incendie de 1720 brûla les communs mais épargna l'hôtel. A l'intérieur, boiseries des 17e et 18e siècle, dont deux dessus de porte et quatre panneaux à la manière des laques de Chine dans l'ancien Salon de Compagnie. Des jardins avec un Trianon orné de peintures de Jouvenet existaient dans les douves, et ont disparu au 19e siècle.

History
Built at the beginning of the 17th century, the hôtel was purchased by the de Robien family in 1699. Until the Revolution there succeeded three presidents à mortier of the Parliament of Brittany, the most famous of whom was Christophe-Paul de Robien, archaeologist, writer, collector whose "cabinet" served as source for the painting collections of the Rennes museum. The fire of 1720 burned the outbuildings but spared the hôtel. Inside, woodwork of the 17th and 18th centuries, including two overdoor panels and four panels in the manner of Chinese lacquers in the former Company Room. Gardens with a Trianon decorated with paintings by Jouvenet existed in the moats, and disappeared in the 19th century.
