Historique

History
The origin of the manor of Kervézec is very obscure: no mention can be found of noble land at this place in the reformations of 1481 and 1535. The first mention appears only in 1665 on the occasion of the blessing of the chapel bell, and the first known owner is François Rolland, wealthy merchant of Morlaix, in 1667. The manor was however built in the 16th century (it is dated 1568) and presents characteristics of a noble dwelling, despite the modifications undergone in the 19th century. It was indeed greatly modified by Pol de Courcy, the author of the armorial of Brittany, between 1877 and 1879: the building extending towards the north-east the entrance portal with machicolations was demolished, and the manor extended towards the south by the creation of two parallel buildings ending in a courtyard. The interior has retained its 19th-century decoration.
