Présumé remonter à la fin du 16e siècle, le melin vor (moulin de la mer) est un des plus représentatifs de la technique marémotrice en Bretagne côtière. Des documents de 1671 attestent, tardivement, son existence. L'habitation du meunier, de 1861, non protégée, complète le site. De plan rectangulaire, en pierre de taille en gros et moyen appareil, le moulin est doté de contreforts et est épaulé par une chaussée construite en gros matériaux, non datée. L'ensemble offre les caractères d'une exploitation rurale, avec son étable et ses dépendances. Une des roues est horizontale, finistérienne, tournant à l'eau douce à l'intérieur du moulin, et l'autre roue, verticale, tourne à l'eau de mer de la retenue. Ce couplage, rare et original, s'accompagne d'un équipement farinier bien conservé, et de meules sous archures.

History
Presumed to date from the end of the 16th century, the melin vor (mill of the sea) is one of the most representative of tidal-milling technique in coastal Brittany. Documents from 1671 attest, belatedly, to its existence. The miller's house, of 1861, unprotected, completes the site. Of rectangular plan, in ashlar stone in large and medium coursing, the mill is equipped with buttresses and is supported by a causeway built in large materials, undated. The whole offers the characteristics of a rural exploitation, with its stable and its outbuildings. One of the wheels is horizontal, of the Finistère type, turning on fresh water inside the mill, and the other wheel, vertical, turns on sea water from the retention. This coupling, rare and original, is accompanied by well-preserved milling equipment, and by millstones under arches.
