Présumé du 17e siècle, ce moulin relevait d'un manoir mentionné au 16e siècle, dont il tient encore le nom. Sa masse architecturale paraît antérieure et mal s'accorder avec le chronogramme conservé (1765). D'une sobriété et d'une robustesse remarquées par les grands écrivains voyageurs (Flaubert, Daudet) , son plan est rectangulaire. Ses doubles contreforts, de type finistérien, et les murs en blocage, en gros appareil de granit, sont posés à joint vif. History
Presumed to be of the 17th century, this mill was dependent on a manor mentioned in the 16th century, from which it still bears the name. Its architectural mass appears earlier and accords poorly with the preserved chronogram (1765). Of a sobriety and robustness remarked upon by great travelling writers (Flaubert, Daudet), its plan is rectangular. Its double buttresses, of Finistère type, and walls of rubble with large stone work in granite, are laid with tight joints. The vertical wheel, dismantled shortly after the mill ceased operation in 1905, had a diameter of 5.50 m, the driving shaft passed through the gable wall to drive the mechanisms, now removed, but texts mention that this mill, more than cramped, was equipped with two millstones, one of which drove an auxiliary millstone crushing buckwheat.
