Mitoyen de la maison Collinet de Rob Mallet-Stevens (voir notice PA00088079) , l'édifice est construit en béton armé et annonce les "cinq points pour une architecture moderne" (pilotis, toit-jardin, plan libre, fenêtre en longueur et façade libre) préfigurant ainsi la villa Savoye à Poissy (voir notice Mérimée PA00087573).

History
Villa built from 1926 to 1927 by the architects Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, his cousin and partner, for the American journalist and painter William Cook and his French wife, Jeanne. Adjoining the house Collinet by Rob Mallet-Stevens (see entry PA00088079), the building is constructed in reinforced concrete and heralds the "five points for modern architecture" (pilotis, roof garden, free plan, strip window and free façade) thus prefiguring the villa Savoye at Poissy (see entry Mérimée PA00087573).
