Building dating from the second half of the 19th century. The ground-floor apartment is rented in 1895 by Georges Clemenceau, who occupies it until his death in 1929. The Clemenceau Foundation, founded in 1931, opens the apartment as a museum in the same year. In 1939, the building is given to the Foundation by its owner.
