Maison de commerce pour la réception des clients et pour des usages administratifs et techniques construite en 1920 par l'architecte Henry Favier (1888-1973) pour le ferronnier d'art Edgar-William Brandt (1880-1960). Cette construction est l’œuvre de diplôme de Favier, à l'école des Beaux-Arts de Paris : elle remporte en 1924 le premier prix du concours de façades de la ville de Paris. Cet atelier s'intègre aujourd'hui dans l'ensemble immobilier abritant le siège de Thomson-CSF, Edgar Brandt ayant été à l'origine des établissements Thomson-Brandt en tant qu'industriel de l'armement. Le bâtiment a été profondément modifié mais conserve de nombreuses ferronneries de Brandt.

History
Commercial building for the reception of clients and for administrative and technical uses built in 1920 by the architect Henry Favier (1888-1973) for the ironworker Edgar-William Brandt (1880-1960). This construction is Favier's diploma work at the École des Beaux-Arts of Paris: it won in 1924 the first prize in the City of Paris façade competition. This workshop is now integrated into the real estate complex housing the headquarters of Thomson-CSF, Edgar Brandt having been at the origin of the Thomson-Brandt establishments as an armaments industrialist. The building has been profoundly modified but retains numerous ironworks by Brandt.
