Elle fait partie d'une série de sous-stations réalisées pour cette compagnie ou pour le métro. La sous-station "Temple" de la rue Corbeau (ancien nom) , date de 1908. La façade vitrée est enchâssée ici dans une maçonnerie de brique silico-calcaire, épousant des formes d'inspiration néo-gothique. L'édifice, surélevé par Friesé en 1912, est occupé aujourd'hui par les services de distribution EDF-Paris-Centre.

History
Electrical transformation sub-station built by architect Paul Friesé for the Compagnie parisienne de distribution d'électricité (Empain-Schneider group). It is part of a series of sub-stations realized for this company or for the metro. The "Temple" sub-station on rue Corbeau (former name), dates from 1908. The glazed facade is here set in masonry of silico-calcareous brick, adopting forms of neo-Gothic inspiration.
