Cet hôtel a été construit en 1663 pour le maître-maçon Nicolas Wiet. En 1827, il devint l'hôtel meublé de l'Europe et des Princes : c'était un hôtel de luxe, un palace de 40 chambres, où Meyerbeer logea en 1835. C'est au travers de cet hôtel que fut percée, en 1860, l'entrée du passage des Princes (notice Mérimée PA00086091).

This hotel was built in 1663 for master mason Nicolas Wiet. In 1827, it became the furnished hotel of Europe and Princes: it was a luxury hotel, a palace of 40 rooms, where Meyerbeer stayed in 1835.
