Hôtel construit en 1725 pour François Terray de Rozières, premier médecin de la duchesse d'Orléans. Il y mourut en 1753. Après de nombreux locataires, il fut occupé par les ateliers du Temps jusqu'en 1911, puis par le restaurant le grand U ; ce restaurant devait son nom à sa clientèle de l'Union Républicaine. Au rez-de-chaussée, le magasin de nouveautés A la petite Jeannette, situé au n°3 du boulevard des Italiens, se prolongeait jusqu'ici, de même que le grand hôtel meublé de Castille, situé au n°5 du Bd des Italiens. L'édifice a également accueilli les établissements Melon-Firmin Bar, puis Bar des Mousquetaires.

History
Hotel constructed in 1725 for François Terray de Rozières, first physician to the duchess of Orléans. He died there in 1753. After numerous tenants, it was occupied by the ateliers du Temps until 1911, then by the restaurant le grand U; this restaurant owed its name to its clientele of the Union Républicaine.
