Historique
Emplacement, jusqu'en 1780, du très bel hôtel construit en 1706 par Cartault pour le financier Pierre Crozat, qui le donna en 1740 à son neveu François Crozat. Après sa mort en 1754, l'hôtel revint à sa seconde fille, épouse du futur duc de Choiseul. Il fut loti et acheté en 1782 par une compagnie d'assurances qui y fit construire en 1788 47 maisons.

History
Location, until 1780, of the very fine mansion built in 1706 by Cartault for the financier Pierre Crozat, who gave it in 1740 to his nephew François Crozat. After his death in 1754, the mansion reverted to his second daughter, wife of the future duc de Choiseul. It was subdivided and purchased in 1782 by an insurance company which had 47 houses built there in 1788.
