Historique
La croix est située à un carrefour de trois voies anciennement utilisées par les pèlerins se rendant à Saint-Jacques de Compostelle (le bourg d'Aincille se serait constitué autour d'un hôpital). Cette croix a été déplacée de l'autre côté du chemin où elle avait été primitivement installée. Elle est placée sur un soubassement circulaire à trois emmarchements. Elle est supportée par un pilier monolithe rectangulaire dont les angles ont été abattus. La croix, monolithe, est ornée à l'avers d'un Christ sculpté en taille d'épargne, encadré de trois étoiles hexagonales ; au revers, d'un personnage aux bras largement écartés dont la facture est assez rudimentaire. Les bords de la croix sont en légère saillie et forment un cadre aux figures. Les branches de la croix sont prolongées d'une sorte de gros tore.

History
The cross is situated at a crossroads of three routes formerly used by pilgrims travelling to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle (the town of Aincille would have developed around a hospital). This cross was moved to the other side of the path where it had been originally installed. It is placed on a circular base with three steps. It is supported by a rectangular monolithic pillar whose angles have been cut off. The cross, monolithic, is decorated on the face with a Christ sculpted in relief carving, framed by three hexagonal stars; on the reverse, by a figure with arms widely spread whose execution is quite rudimentary. The edges of the cross are in slight projection and form a frame for the figures. The branches of the cross are extended by a sort of large torus.
