History
The castle occupies a barred spur site dominating the valley of the Briolance. A main dwelling of classical period and flanked by terraces, occupies the spur. The essential constructions date from the Middle Ages, with a keep and a gatehouse of the 13th century, a tower with gun-ports of the 15th century and two levelled towers of the 12th and 13th centuries, enclosed in the main dwelling.
