Historique

History
The seigneury appears in the 14th century. The right to build a fortified house is granted in 1348. Nothing remains of the medieval edifice. The round tower is a remnant of a 16th-century fortified house, replaced towards the end of the 17th century by a single-storey main dwelling flanked by two pavilions. The main body of outbuildings appears to date from the 18th century. In the 19th century, the main dwelling is raised by one storey and the interior remodelled. The castle consists of a group of buildings organised around a rectangular courtyard. To the east extends the main dwelling flanked at its ends by two higher pavilions. The west façade of the main dwelling is framed by two perpendicular wings of outbuildings which formerly housed the lodgings of staff and peasants, cart-sheds, barns, wine stores and cellars. A gate closes the fourth side of the courtyard. At the extremity of the southern outbuilding remains a round tower possessing a vaulted cellar and gun loopholes. The interior of the main dwelling comprises, on the ground floor, rooms with neo-classical décor.
