D'après la nature et le style des fresques, cet ensemble daterait de 1525-1535 avec, peut-être, quelques adjonctions postérieures. La chapelle a été creusée par l'homme dans le rocher, à partir d'une grotte naturelle préexistante. Trois entrées permettaient de pénétrer dans l'ermitage par des portes étroites taillées dans le roc. Seule celle du milieu est actuellement utilisable. Des fresques ornent les parois et les plafonds. L'ensemble le plus remarquable se situe dans un ancien sanctuaire aménagé en abside à fond plat, couvert d'une voûte en arc surbaissé. Le décor de la voûte consiste en une mandorle contenant Dieu le Père avec, de chaque côté, la représentation des Evangélistes.

History
According to the nature and style of the frescoes, this ensemble would date from 1525-1535 with, perhaps, some later additions. The chapel was hollowed out by man in the rock, starting from a pre-existing natural grotto. Three entrances made it possible to enter the hermitage through narrow doors cut in the rock. Only the middle one is currently usable. Frescoes ornament the walls and ceilings. The most remarkable ensemble is located in an old sanctuary arranged as an apse with a flat bottom, covered with a depressed arch vault. The decoration of the vault consists of a mandorla containing God the Father with, on each side, the representation of the Evangelists.
