The church was built in the 12th century, probably on the site of the one mentioned by Gregory of Tours. It then comprised only a nave, a transept, an apse and two absidioles. The chevet received its vault towards the end of the 12th century. During the 13th century, at the time of the construction of the archbishop's palace, the vaults of the transept were built. In the 14th century, during the construction of the city's fortifications, the Romanesque nave was rebuilt and the church enlarged by adding two aisles to it. During the 19th century, two appendices were built to the north, serving as a chapel and baptismal fonts, as well as the bell tower to the west. Capitals sculpted with leaves, interlace, figurines and historical subjects... The sanctuary is composed of a main apse vaulted in apse vault, preceded by a choir, and two absidioles opening to the east of the arms of the transept. These apses and a few capitals on the columns nearest to them are the only remains of the first Romanesque construction. Among the capitals are seen the Sacrifice of Abraham, Daniel in the lion's den, animals... The triumphal arch was surmounted in the 14th century by a gable bell tower with two round-arched openings. An external porch protects the main entrance and, above it, rises the square bell tower.
