L'édifice est bâti sur un éperon rocheux qui dominait, au sud, la Garonne ; à l'ouest, le Charros. Il se composait d'un quadrilatère flanqué à chaque angle d'une tour. La partie conservée du château des Quatre Sos (4 soeurs) date de la fin du 13e siècle. Il subit un siège en 1345 et fut démantelé vers 1629 sur les ordres de Louis XIII. Il conserve des restes intéressants de fortifications militaires, en particulier la tour située au sud-ouest, dite "La Thomasse" (ancien donjon) qui contient, dans les aménagements de ses trois étages, toute une série de systèmes militaires de protection médiévale. La poterne était située sur la lice sud. Dans le rempart ouest, une galerie est percée d'un trou pour le tir d'une pièce d'artillerie.

History
The building is constructed on a rocky spur which dominated, to the south, the Garonne; to the west, the Charros. It comprised a quadrilateral flanked at each corner by a tower. The preserved part of the castle of the Quatre Sos (4 sisters) dates from the late 13th century. It underwent a siege in 1345 and was dismantled around 1629 on the orders of Louis XIII. It preserves interesting remains of military fortifications, in particular the tower situated at the south-west, called "La Thomasse" (former keep) which contains, in the arrangements of its three floors, a whole series of medieval military protection systems. The postern gate was situated on the southern lice. In the western rampart, a gallery is pierced with a hole for the firing of a piece of artillery.
