La coupole portait une vaste composition picturale empruntant à l'agriculture, au commerce, à la navigation... qui peut être attribuable au peintre Antonio Gonzalez. Certains éléments témoignent d'une restauration au Second Empire.

History
Castle erected on the plans of Dufart, pupil and collaborator of Louis, for the Portuguese banker Samuel Charles Peixoto, between 1788 and 1790. It is the typical example of the large neo-Palladian dwellings erected in the periphery for the great bourgeoisie of the period. The large circular salon opens onto the park through three French doors. The dome bore a vast pictorial composition drawing on agriculture, commerce, navigation... which may be attributable to the painter Antonio Gonzalez. Certain elements bear witness to a restoration in the Second Empire.
