Historique

History
Castle of classical inspiration built for the shipowner Ravesies who had the 18th-century castle razed and the present building erected. Of rectangular plan, it is composed of five building bodies, the central body and the two wings on either side being in the same alignment. Access to the central building is made, on each side, under a portico supported on the north by four Tuscan columns and on the south Ionic columns. The south façade of the central body is decorated in a neo-Renaissance style. Inside, the rooms are adorned with painted decoration, woodwork. Park laid out by the landscaper Le Breton around a lake dotted with islands. This park was embellished with follies of which there remain a bridge of medieval type, rockwork, a hydraulic tower of classical appearance and the rockwork attachments of a vanished metal footbridge.
