Théâtre à façade néo-classique construit en 1908 par l'architecte Tournier, à l'emplacement du Cirque national de Bordeaux, dont quelques vestiges subsistent dans l'arrière-scène. La salle de 1 500 places a été utilisée comme salle de spectacles et pour des bals publics, des matinées, des séances de music-hall et des galas de boxe et de catch. L'Assemblée nationale y siège en 1914. D'importantes modifications dans les années 1940 et 1950 ont supprimé le décor de la salle.

History
Theatre with a neo-classical façade built in 1908 by the architect Tournier, on the site of the Cirque national de Bordeaux, some remains of which survive in the backstage area. The auditorium of 1,500 seats was used as a performance venue and for public balls, matinées, music-hall shows and boxing and wrestling galas. The National Assembly sits there in 1914. Significant alterations in the 1940s and 1950s removed the décor of the auditorium.
