Historique
Selon la tradition, un premier château existait au 14e siècle, dont il ne reste rien. L'édifice actuel remonte au 16e siècle. En 1763, le logis fut prolongé par une aile plus basse à laquelle furent ajoutés en 1766 de nouveaux bâtiments contenant une chapelle. Au cours de la même période, furent réaliser les clôtures sud et nord de la cour (1770) et, ultérieurement, le décor intérieur néo-classique du logis. Le château actuel présente un corps de logis carré, soudé à ses angles d'une tour ronde et d'une tour carrée. Le corps de logis se termine par une grande tour carrée accolée d'une tourelle ronde en encorbellement qui devait occuper le centre du bâtiment et servir de donjon. Un bâtiment à usage de communs se poursuit à la suite du donjon. A l'origine, il devait faire partie du logis et comporter également une tour ronde ou carrée à ses angles.

History
According to tradition, a first castle existed in the 14th century, of which nothing remains. The present building dates from the 16th century. In 1763, the main dwelling was extended by a lower wing to which were added in 1766 new buildings containing a chapel. During the same period, the southern and northern enclosures of the courtyard were carried out (1770) and, subsequently, the neo-classical interior decoration of the main dwelling. The present castle presents a square main dwelling block, joined at its angles by a round tower and a square tower. The main dwelling block ends with a large square tower adjoined by a round turret in corbelling which was to occupy the centre of the building and serve as a keep. A building for common use continues after the keep. Originally, it was to form part of the main dwelling and also have a round or square tower at its angles.
