History
The present dwelling succeeded a repaire known in the 16th century. It is a long main dwelling with central balcony in ironwork, comprising two pavilions in right-angle returns on the opposite façade. The roofing was originally in stone slates. The whole dates from the middle of the 18th century. According to a legend, the castle would have been built by Louis XV for one of his mistresses whom he wished to remove from court. Two porter lodges with flat roofs are found in the courtyard. A wrought-iron gate opens in the rounded enclosure wall.
