History
The bases of the castle rest on a part of the Gallo-Roman enclosure. These walls comprise constructions extending to the end of the Gothic period or the beginning of the Renaissance. The property consists of the remains of the enclosure; of a construction dating largely to the 11th century; of the ruins of an old castle which underwent various alterations but belongs for the most part to the 15th century. The lower parts were built using materials from ancient constructions. The upper parts of the towers and curtains are built using small rubble stone interspersed with bricks.
