Construit en 1669 sur des fondations anciennes par François de Salignac, évêque de Sarlat. De villégiature, le palais servit ensuite de refuge à l'évêque quand il se retira à Issigeac après la prise de Sarlat par Geoffroy de Vivant. L'édifice se présente comme un grand corps de logis rectangulaire, flanqué de deux pavillons aux angles desquels s'agrafent deux tourelles en encorbellement en brique et pierre.

History
Built in 1669 on ancient foundations by François de Salignac, bishop of Sarlat. A country residence, the palace subsequently served as a refuge for the bishop when he retired to Issigeac after the taking of Sarlat by Geoffroy de Vivant. The building presents itself as a large rectangular main dwelling, flanked by two pavilions at the angles of which are bracketed two turrets in brick and stone corbelling.
