Une première chapelle fut construite par Elie Audouin, second abbé de Chancelade, au début du 12e siècle, et forme le choeur actuel de l'église. History
A first chapel was built by Elie Audouin, second abbot of Chancelade, in the early 12th century, and forms the present choir of the church. It was enlarged by the addition of two bays topped with domes. Animals and a vegetative decoration ornament the thirteen capitals of the primitive chapel. The north-east angle of the choir is flanked by a fortified tower. Remains of monastic buildings form a wing perpendicular to the south elevation of the choir. The 16th century prioral dwelling, to the south-west, presents a rectangle perpendicular to the church, and flanked at the south-west angle by a circular tower. A stone-built ditch runs along the dwelling to the west and south.
