Château remontant au 14e siècle. Dans ses parties anciennes, il était bâti en 1384, l'évêque Pierre Tizon étant alors enterré dans la chapelle. History
Castle dating to the 14th century. In its old parts, it was built in 1384, bishop Pierre Tizon being then buried in the chapel. Since that time, it served as a country house for the bishops of Périgueux, and this until the Revolution. Certain bishops made it their habitual residence. Part of the castle was constructed in the 15th century, with some alterations in the 16th. The building offers a confused mass of towers and pavilions crowned with machicolations and high roofs. On the south façade, two octagonal turrets exceed the roofline, one of them comprising the staircase. They open by 15th-century doors sculpted and decorated with statuettes, niches, pinnacles.
