The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Lielahden asemarakennus on osa harvinaistunutta 1920-luvun tiilirakenteisten asemien sarjaa.

Tampere-Pori radan Lielahden asema on rakennettu entisen vahtituvan paikalle palvelemaan teollisuusaluetta 1927. Pelkistetty pitkänomainen rakennus, jonka etupuolella on poikkipääty ja kuisti, on katettu tiilisellä harjakatolla.

Tampere-Pori -rata rakennettiin 1890-1895. Lielahden ylikäytävällä oli siinä vaiheessa vahtitupa, mutta alueen teollisuuden vilkastuessa - Enqvistin sulfiittisellutehtaan rakentaminen alkoi Lielahteen 1910-luvulla - sinne tarvittiin asemarakennus. Asema rakennettiin 1927 Thure Hellströmin suunnittelemana.

The Lielahti station building is part of a rare series of brick-built stations from the 1920s.

The Lielahti station on the Tampere-Pori line was built in 1927 on the site of a former watchman's cottage, to serve the industrial area. The simplified, elongated building, with a cross-gable and porch at the front, has a brick-tiled gable roof.

The Tampere-Pori line was built in 1890-1895. At that stage the Lielahti level crossing had a watchman's cottage, but as industry in the area grew (construction of the Enqvist sulphite pulp mill began at Lielahti in the 1910s), a station building was needed there. The station was built in 1927, designed by Thure Hellström.
