Raahen kaupungin edustalla sijaitseva Iso-Kraaseli on suuri metsän peittämä saari. Pookin meren puoleiset sivut on maalattu valkoisiksi, muuten rakennus on punainen. Pookin vieressä on 1800-luvulla rakennettu kaksikerroksinen, matalalla tähystystornilla varustettu luotsiasema. Luotsiaseman vajarakennus ja ulkohuone ovat alkuperäiset.

Taskun puinen tunnusmajakka kuuluu Iso-Kraaselin tavoin Albin Stjerncreutzin suunnittelemien omaperäisten tunnusmajakoiden joukkoon ja kuvastaa edelleen 1800-luvun tilannetta.

Raahen satamasta merelle johtavista kolmesta väylästä pohjoisin merkittiin Taskun tunnusmajakalla jo 1600-luvulla. Taskun nykyinen tunnusmajakka valmistui 1853.

Merenkulkulaitos luovutti rakennukset Raahen kaupungille 1983.

The landmark beacons and pilot station of Iso-Kraaseli and Tasku form a well-preserved ensemble which, as a functional pair, is essentially connected with the history of the Raahe town fairway and maritime traffic.

Iso-Kraaseli, a large island covered with forest, lies off the town of Raahe. At its highest point stand the landmark beacon and the buildings of the pilot station. The landmark beacon, or Iso-Kraaseli pooki, is an approximately 18 metres high, eight-sided tower tapering upwards. The structure's frame consists of heartwood and 32 diagonal braces supporting it. Only the upper part of the tower is clad; the frame of the lower part is visible. The seaward sides of the pooki are painted white, otherwise the building is red. Beside the pooki is a two-storey pilot station built in the 19th century, with a low lookout tower. The shed building and outhouse of the pilot station are original.

Like that of Iso-Kraaseli, the wooden landmark beacon of Tasku belongs to the group of distinctive landmark beacons designed by Albin Stjerncreutz and still reflects the situation of the 19th century.

The northernmost of the three fairways leading from the harbour of Raahe out to sea was marked with the Tasku beacon as early as the 17th century. The present Tasku beacon was completed in 1853. When the state redeemed the Gulf of Bothnia sea marks in 1848, there was also a beacon and pilot station in the northern part of Iso-Kraasel. However, they were demolished when new buildings were completed in the central part of the island in 1852.

The Iso-Kraasel and Tasku beacons, i.e. wooden pooks, were designed by Albin Stjerncreutz, head of the Gulf of Bothnia maritime district. The beacons and the Raahe church indicated the course of the fairway leading to the town from the west. From the pilot station next to the pook, ships were piloted to the town harbour and from there back out to sea.

Merenkulkulaitos handed the buildings over to the town of Raahe in 1983.
