Houses are sided in weatherboard, board-and-batten or vinyl, with some brick or stone, on concrete block or pier foundations under metal or composite shingle roofs. Agriculture Related farm buildings include cotton barns, a stock barn, a slaughterhouse, cook's quarters and a raised-seam metal cotton gin. Rosemark First Presbyterian Church's congregation arrived in 1917, its church was built in 1918, and the façade was reconfigured in 1954 with a new double-leaf entrance. Later changes include enclosed porches and storage areas, carports added in 1970 and 1980, and an addition built in 2000.

Shelby County had 5,145 farms in 1954 but only 2,052 by 1964. In 1912 Rosemark Bank was chartered and Moore Brothers rebuilt its store; Moore Brothers also ran a cotton gin in the community.
