The Belhaven Historic District is a residential and institutional district in Jackson, Hinds County, listed in the National Register in 2012. It covers 42 acres and 1,305 contributing buildings and one site, in styles from Queen Anne and Craftsman to Tudor Revival and Ranch.

It was listed under criteria A and C, with local significance in architecture, community planning and development, and education, and its significance runs from 1904 to 1968, matching buildings dated 1904 and 1968.

Walls are wood frame, brick veneer, stucco, or stone on foundations of brick, concrete, or stucco, under composition or asphalt shingle roofs. Features include exposed rafter tips, front-gabled porches, Doric, Ionic, Tuscan, or Composite columns, dormers, gambrel or hip roofs, and porte cocheres that gained glass enclosures and curved stucco walls in the 1980s. Its churches and college buildings add a bell tower, spire, portico, and Temple of the Winds columns; Overstreet, Ware and Ware and Robert William Naef are named architects, and one building is attributed to Frank Lloyd Wright.

A small grocery called Jitney Jungle opened in 1929 and grew with additions in 1941 and 1960, when its facade turned toward a new parking lot and a pharmacy building rose at its north end. In 2001 Belhaven College bought the Riverside Independent Methodist Church building for a performing arts center, and the school was renamed Belhaven University in 2010.
