Basement steel windows were replaced with vinyl in 1999, when two fire escapes were added to the rear elevation, and sliding sensor doors replaced the original swing doors in 2004.
Historical context
Ground breaking was held on November 6, 1949, and the building officially opened in a ceremony on April 19, 1951. The 1912 and 1922 Sanborn maps show residential dwellings on the site, and all buildings but one small outbuilding had been removed by 1944.
