A Palladian window, semi-circular attic windows, and two-over-two double-hung wood sash windows mark the facade, above broad, low brick chimneys at the gable ends and open-hearth brick fireplaces inside. The kitchen was expanded on the first floor in 1934, two bathrooms had been created by 1947, and the front porch was replaced in 1996 and 2003 with vinyl siding on an addition.

Historical context

Enoch Wright inherited the farm by 1798 and lived there until his death in 1846. By 1822 two stills had grown into a distillery, and in 1823 Wright gave land and money for Wright's Chapel. At the time of its listing it was a museum, associated with the Peters Creek Historical Society.
