Around 1980 asphalt shingles replaced simulated slate on the roof; the caretaker's residence was demolished around 1964, and an older garage removed in 2000.

Historical context

Around 1900 St. Mary's Catholic cemetery was established and merged into the larger grounds, and in 1905 it purchased 126 acres. Monongahela City was chartered in 1873, and in 1928 Harry Isaac designed the grounds' eagle-topped plinth.
