General McCausland
Home of General John McCausland, 1837-1927, one of the last officers of the general staff of the Confederate Army. He served in Pennsylvania, the Virginias, and Maryland. He led Lomax's cavalry against Sheridan in Valley Campaign.
1937 text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native and Black people, and tells frontier history from the settler's side.
