Naulahka -- Rudyard Kipling's Home near Brattleboro for 4 years
Rudyard Kiplings home near Brattleboro for 4 years after marriage to the American, Caroline Balestier, and after visiting her home, famed British writer built isolated Naulahka. Here he wrote the Jungle Books and other stories, and two daughters were born. In 1896 the Kiplings returned to England.
