Site of Homestead of Lawyer and Statesman George F. Edmunds, one of this nations foremost legislators, was born on this farm, Feb. 1, 1828. After serving at Montpelier as Speaker, he represented Vermont in Washington as Senator for 25 years and presided over the Senate when Arthur was President.
