Old Randolph-Macon College
The large building to the north is old Randolph-Macon College, one of the first Methodist colleges in America. It was named for John Randolph, of Roanoke, and Nathaniel Macon, and was opened for instruction on October 9, 1832. The college was moved to Ashland in 1868.
