Six-Mile Ordinary

Near this spot was Allen's Ordinary, sometimes called "Six-Mile Ordinary". An early settlement of Quakers was east of this point, near Scimino Creek. Militia under Colonel James Innes camped here on April 20, 1781. Colonel Thomas Mathews and his militia were attacked here by Tarleton, August 22, 1781.
