Peyton Guyn Hale

Grayson County · dedicated 1970 · Elk Creek Parkway, south of intersection with Carsonville Road

Born in Elk Creek, Virginia, June 29, 1821, Member of the House of Delegates, 1874-1877. Member State Senate, 1879-1882. One of the "Big Four," a group which resisted many of the proposals of the Readjusters. Died in Elk Creek, December 25, 1885.
