Old Rustburg

The place was named for Jeremiah Rust, who patented land here in 1780. The first courthouse of Campbell County was built here in 1783; the present building was erected about 1848. The old "Fountain Hotel" was built in 1795 and has been conducted by the Finch family ever since.
