Bethesda Church
This is the site of Old Bethesda Church. Here, on May 30, 1864, a part of Warren's (Fifth) Corps of Grant's army, advancing southward, was attacked by Early. On June 2, 1864, Early here attacked Burnside's (Ninth) Corps.
