Woodberry Forest School
One mile east is Woodberry Forest School, a college preparatory school for boys founded in 1889 by Robert Stringfellow Walker, a captain in Mosby's Rangers. The school is named for the estate on which it stands, formerly owned by William Madison, brother of President James Madison.
