Built by E. J. Kinzel, the Kinzel Springs Hotel operated on this site from 1914 until 1944. With its mineral springs-fed bath pools, the hotel was an important tourist attraction in the early decades of train travel. Today, the nearby springs still flow, a reminder of the hotel's past history and the allure that once attracted visitors from near and far.
