One mile east was the original grave of the Reverend Christian Theus. A native of Switzerland, Theus ministered to Reformed and Lutheran groups in Saxe-Gotha Township, 1739-1789, and was teacher of the local school. His grave was moved to Sandy Run Lutheran Church Cemetery in 1932.
