This wood frame building dates to 1887 and housed Wesley Methodist Episcopal (M.E.) Church. Wesley M.E. was part of a charge with a Summerville congregation of the same name and first pastored by Rev. C.C. Jacobs. It was one of the earliest institutions in the Town of Lincolnville. The church briefly housed a Black public school prior to 1899. It closed in the 1960s after members merged with the Summerville church.
