Washington Irving’s Camp

Oklahoma County · at intersection of OK-66 and Anderson Road in Arcadia

There are two markers at this location, each commemorating a campsite of Washington Irving and his party in October 1832 during his tour of the prairies. Irving hunted wild horses near the location of these markers. The event was later described in A Tour on the Prairies.
