Oklahoma Baptist Orphans Home

In 1903, Rev. J. A. Scott founded an orphans home in Oklahoma City under the auspices of the Oklahoma and Indian Territories Baptist Conventions. In 1907 the facility moved to a location at the corner of Northwest 63rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The campus comprised more than twenty buildings. The property’s name was changed to the Oklahoma Baptist Children’s Home in 1936. The property was later sold, and a new campus opened on South Western Avenue in Oklahoma City in June 1982.
