Camden County · dedicated 1964 · Marker is at the intersection of White Horse Pike (U.S. 30) and Thackara Avenue, on the right when traveling west on White Horse Pike.

First settlers came in 1714. Village once called “Long-A-Coming”, being along the Lonaconing Indian Trail from the river to the sea.
