Capt. Emilio Carranza
Ten miles southeast, close to the railroad, stands the monument to Captain Emilio Carranza, Aviator of the Mexican Army, killed July 12, 1928, when his plane crashed while attempting a return, good- will, non-stop flight to Mexico City from New York.
